“Those who tell the stories, rule the world” is a powerful quote that has stood the test of time from ancient Greece to the Tech age.
It's a magical thing to learn that you have the starring role in the greatest story of all. We each possess a story of our very own. How exciting is that!
To begin expressing your own story can seem a little strange or self-indulgent at first. But through this process, you are learning so much about how you fit in this world and therefore how you connect to others. For me, the greatest realisation was that every person and every organisation I have met has a story. Everyone I meet has felt pain and joy, has strength and fear, has vast skills and some weaknesses.
This also applies directly to organisations. In our digital world, the business story is marketing. If this story is not genuine you will be found out.

One mistake is believing that our own story has little value or interest to others. Another is believing you have to be famous or be a successful brand to have a story of interest. We need our own 'voice' to be heard because we all have something very important to express, "This is me and this is who I am."
Let's share our stories, celebrate our stories and build new relationships based on valuing each other and ourselves.
